Clean Up Sound and Harbors (CUSH) is hosting a full-day training workshop for municipal and school district officials, landscape professionals and residents from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Holiday Inn, 10 Laura Blvd., Norwich.
The nonprofit group, based in Stonington, will underwrite workshop registration fees for 14 town managers responsible for parks and playgrounds in Stonington, North Stonington, Westerly and Groton. The workshop is open to other professionals and the public but seating is limited and reservations are required. Taught by Charles Osborne, a professional horticulturist, the workshop will cover natural lawn care and turf management.
