Mystic — Concerns about water quality in our local area will be the topic of a panel discussion from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. March 16 at Mystic Aquarium.
The forum, titled “Water Quality: From Ground to Sound,” is part of Mystic Aquarium’s Conservation in Action speaker series.
The panel will discuss pollution in local bays and rivers, with advice from experts about steps everyone can take to improve water quality of local waterways.
Panelists will include: Jamie Vaudrey, assistant research professor in the Marine Sciences Department of the University of Connecticut; David Prescott, South County Coastkeeper for Save the Bay’s South Coast Center in Westerly; and Chris Freeman, president of Clean Up Sound and Harbors (CUSH). A reception will follow with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.
